Oceans / Tanzania’s Indian Ocean islands

Zanzibar, Mafia & Pemba.
Find your island escape.

Zanzibar’s coastlines. Mafia’s whale sharks. Pemba’s green shores. The ocean gives each a different character; we help you choose the experience, the stay and the route that fit you.

Which island
is right for you?

They are not interchangeable beach endings. Start with your priorities, then match the coast, stay, marine activities and flight connection.

Beach choice + culture

Start with Zanzibar / Unguja

Choose it for Stone Town, spice visits and a broad choice of beaches, restaurants and hotel moods. Compare the exact coast for swimming, tides, quiet and evening atmosphere.

Find your Zanzibar coast
Marine wildlife + reefs

Look at Mafia Island

Choose it when seasonal whale shark viewing and Chole Bay reef activities lead the trip. Allow several nights and a flexible marine plan; wildlife sightings and swimming encounters are not guaranteed.

Quiet coast + green interior

Consider Pemba Island

Choose it for an unhurried stay, forest and clove-country outings, with guided reef trips matched to your experience. The property, activity locations and island transfers deserve careful planning.

Three islands / three different holidays

Begin with what
draws you to the sea.

Swimming from the beach, marine wildlife, diving, music or complete downtime: choose the priority first. The right coast, property and connections follow from it.

Zanzibar / Unguja

Combine Stone Town and spice-country visits with the beach that fits you. Choose northern swimming and sunsets, an active lagoon coast or a quieter village stay. Add Sauti za Busara or a confirmed Kendwa party night when the dates suit your trip.

A good choice for a first island visit, with plenty of beaches and places to stay.

Mafia Island

Join a local guide for seasonal whale shark outings, explore Chole Bay’s reefs and leave time for mangroves and island life. We arrange the stay and excursions, with enough time to work around the sea conditions.

A good choice for marine wildlife, reefs and quiet island days.

03 / The Green Island, reef adventures and a slower pace

Pemba Island

Stay beside the water, then explore forest and clove country with a local guide. We can arrange reef trips, a sandbank outing when the tides allow, or a relaxed holiday with more time at the beach.

A good choice for a slower holiday with time on the coast and inland.

Unguja and Pemba are part of the Zanzibar archipelago. Mafia is a separate archipelago off mainland Tanzania. Moving between them needs a planned connection; an island stay deserves its own days.
